Technical Meetings between ABACC and the IAEA
On the 5th and the 6th February technical meetings between ABACC and IAEA were held at ABACC headquarters. The safeguards approaches and implementation at the nuclear facilities in Argentina and Brazil were discussed.
On 8th February it was held a technical meeting among ABACC, Argentina’s Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) and the IAEA to discuss the aspects of the safeguards implementation at the Embalse and Atucha I Nuclear Power Plants.
On 9th February ABACC and IAEA made a technical visit to the Atucha I Nuclear Power Plant. The Operator and the ARN presented the progress of the dry storage facility and the agencies made a verification visit of the progress of the new deposit project.
