Annual Technical Meeting – 2024 Nuclear Material Round Robin, at the IAEA Headquarters

Between 28 and 31 October 2025, the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) hosted the annual technical meeting of the 2024 Nuclear Material Round Robin. The event brought together experts in destructive analysis (DA) from various laboratories around the world, with special emphasis on the participation of the ABACC laboratory network.

The main focus of the meeting was the validation of proficiency tests, a process in which different laboratories analyze identical samples to ensure that the results are accurate, consistent, and aligned with rigorous global standards.

In addition to validating the quality of the analyses, the meeting promoted the exchange of technological innovations and practical experiences in sample handling.

This technical collaboration reaffirms the commitment of Brazil and Argentina to nuclear material control, ensuring that the measurements carried out in their laboratories have full international credibility.
