ABACC-IAEA Joint Accounting Auditing Course for Brazilian ABACC Inspectors

From 24 to 27 March, 2025, the “ABACC-IAEA Joint Accounting Auditing Course” will be held at the ABACC headquarters. Eight ABACC inspectors of Brazilian nationality are attending the course. The topics covered include concepts of nuclear materials accounting, content and format of the accounting reports prepared by the National Authorities and their respective submission deadlines, presentation of supporting documentation models and the joint audit procedures established between ABACC and IAEA. The last three days of the course are dedicated to practicing the use the joint audit software – NSJAR (New Software for Joint Auditing of Records ABACC-IAEA) in a series of simulated audits. ABACC’s Nuclear Material Accounting and Control Officers participate as instructors.
