ABACC-IAEA Joint Accounting Auditing Course of Nuclear Materials for Argentine ABACC Inspectors

From 8 to 11 April, 2025, the “ABACC-IAEA Joint Accounting Auditing Course” was held at the ARN headquarters. The event was attended by nine ABACC inspectors of Argentine nationality. The topics covered included concepts of nuclear materials accounting, content and format of the accounting reports prepared by the National Authorities and their respective submission deadlines, presentation of supporting documentation models and the joint audit procedures established between ABACC and IAEA. The last three days of the course were dedicated to practicing the use the joint audit software – NSJAR (New Software for Joint Auditing of Records ABACC-IAEA) in a series of simulated audits. ABACC’s Nuclear Material Accounting and Control Officers participated as instructors.
