ABACC holds a technical meeting with DoE and IAEA at its headquarters
A meeting between experts from ABACC, IAEA and DoE-USA was held from 27 to 28 November when different technical cooperation projects of common interest to SCCC and IAEA safeguards were evaluated.
The software developed by the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) was approved for verification of irradiated fuel elements and the identification of more modern technologies for non destructive measures for potential application in nuclear installations of Argentina and Brazil were discussed.
The participation of the New Brunswick National Laboratory in the follow-up of the process of the certification of the UF6 ABACC-Cristallini sampling method with ASTM was successfully completed. Collaboration in the intercomparison of analytical laboratories and other technical activities of interest is still in force.
